Doctors Appointments are stressful!

Emily is doing great! Her 2nd doctors appointment was yesterday, she is up to 6 lbs. 2oz. and 19 inches long. The doctor was especially impressed with how tall she had gotten.

Emily and I were both pretty stressed out about her second doctors appointment. Many of you know, that I don't like to drive and yesterday was my first time driving Emily. It was also the first time she rode in the back seat by herself. To add to the drama, it was pouring rain out...like sideways rain. I think that she could sense my nervousness because she spit up for most of the ride there.

Emily needed to get a few of her vaccines (she got 2 shots). I had a total Jenny McCarthy moment saying (loudly), its too much! too soon! she is too little!! She did well with the shots until later in the evening, when her little legs swelled up and she cried for 2 hours straight. Poor girl!

We had a visitor today. Here Emily visiting with Darby. She is sleeping happily; post doctor, pre-meltdown.
