Day 2 Continued....

I can't beleive that it has only been a day. It was a big one, since her venalator is out, we heard her cry for the first time. Also, Mama got to "feed" her for the first time, and also got to hold her for the first time. Serious water-works for both special occasions...

Also, a pic of the proud papa with his little girl.

As well as a pic of the doting grandparents.

Dearest Rene and John,

What a wonderful surprise! Here's a great big congratulations and welcome to your new little girl, Emily Rachel. She is absolutely beautiful, and you all look so happy. You look beautiful as ever, Renee, and John and your Mom and Dad look so happy. We will definitely keep all of you in our prayers and pray for little Emily to get stronger every day. I can hardly wait to meet her when I get to Chicago.

You got some water works from me too. It brought tears to my eyes seeing Renee holding beautiful Emily Rachel...she's ABSOLUTELY gorgeous...just like her mama. Congratulations Renee and John...we can't wait to meet Emily when she comes home. I look forward to hearing all about her progress. You and Emily are in our prayers.
